Mary Lou Gossage is the CEO and Founder of ILM Health Inc, a health care technology company reimagining how patients and communities engage with the health care system — with a relentless focus on equity.
Mary Lou brings an uncommon combination of international marketing expertise, behavioral science, and public health leadership to one of health care's most persistent challenges: keeping people meaningfully connected to their own care. Her career spans consumer behavior, corporate and institutional behavior change, and clinical health engagement — a through-line that has always centered on why people act, and how systems can do better at reaching them.
Her public health credentials are substantial. She led the successful Health Canada Breast Cancer Outreach initiative, driving measurable gains in compliance and reducing hospital readmissions, and served as Chair of the Psychology Foundation of Canada's Infant Mental Health Committee — bringing early-intervention and equity thinking to the forefront of her work.
Mary Lou's philosophy challenges a foundational assumption in health care: that non-engagement is a patient problem.
